The rear free hub on my wife's bike is draggy & when pedalling backward results in loads of chain sag.
The hub sounds tight & has no free play so I don't think its a wear issue, just in need of a lube to the seal & may be internals?
A similar issue on some Crossmax ST wheels was cured with a mineral oil lube to the free hub seal.
So how do I get the free hub off? I've pulled the non-drive side end cap off & now have a hollow axle end - do I just knock this out or do something else?

video for pro2 hub here, think the xc6 is pretty much the same
Pull off the drive side end cap. The freehub will then pull off. Check that the pawl springs are all OK. Clean, re grease and re build. The seal will need pushing back into the hub I use an allen key to press it home.
While it's off, check the bearings in the freehub are running smoothly too.
