Ive had a thought (i know, shocking)

330 squids COULD buy you this clever ENO eccentric hub, that allows you to use the hub itself as a tensioner by having the axel "on the piss"

(lets ignore disk setup issues for the moment)

i reckon hope could quite easily do an axel for the SS/trials hub, that would have the bolts "on the piss" to allow for the same thing on a vertical dropout frame? SS without use of a tensioner.
as they are doing 15mm bolt through, 20mm, 9mm bolt, qr, bolt through rears etc etc....

....thought ends.

I doubt you could do it with the Hope as the freehub will restrict how much offset you could create with custom spacers. Basically you dont have no room on that side (i have a Pro2SS)

Not enough room inside the freehub body.

Those eno freewheels are really good quality too. Ran on one my trials bike for ages, never broke. Would defo run one on my mtb ss.
