I was wondring if it's possible to reduce the silly noise of this hub, Hope Pro II, the click-click-click which I'm not sure I like.

Chuck a load of grease in and it'll shut up. You'll get a load of people saying the noise is the best bit in a mo ๐Ÿ˜‰

Not really, it's the pawls that make the noise and Hope recommend only using light grease on them, you can't use heavier grade stuff as otherwise they can slip.

its a sweet sweet noise!!! imho.
you can remove the freehub and pack some grease in it! this will cut the noise down. simple enought task, check out the hope web site for how to service the hub and you will see how to remove the freehub.

Mines magically stopped making the noise, was so odd riding downhill yesterday and only hearing chain slap! Wanna swap?

XC-Steve... mine did that, turned out to be the pawls 3 of the 4 had bust! older hubs have weaker metal pawl springs apprantly!! nice man from hope sent me some new Leaf springs to fix it.
