[#5985171]

Hi guys, I have recently been ignoring an ever more slipping freehub that has got to the point of being unrideable.

Is this an easy fix? (im fairly spanner handy) or something more suited to lbs?

I have googled for a video/demo but cant find anything..

Thanks in advance.

SDB, seen that but it doesn't cover the freehub pawls/springs.

Slogo, it looks like the freehub just pulls off and then all the parts are easy to get too?

Is that the case?

Yep pulls off and all there to see. New pawls and springs is a 5 minute job ๐Ÿ™‚

I'm pretty sure all Pro II rear hubs have four pawls.

๐Ÿ™‚ definitely 4 sets, 3 broken springs and a whole lotta winter crud!
New ones on way, thanks again fellas. Don't normally have to ask and really grateful for the help.

Yep, 5 minute job to change the parts, 15 minutes to clean out the accumulated crap ๐Ÿ™‚

There is also a big needle roller bearing in the middle - make sure you also pull out the inner race to clean and re-lube (that bearing does not have to be perfect as only operates when you freewheel). If needle roller is totally trashed then pop freehub in a bag to Hope with a nice letter and a complete new one might appear within a few days ๐Ÿ™‚ (did for me when my ss hub prematurely packed in).
