[#3539433]

My Hope ProII SS hub has worked flawlessly for over tow years and then today the click disappeared when freewheeling. As you know the clicking on the ProII is pretty load so it feels odd without it.

The hubs still seems to work fine. Anyone know what has happened? Is it about to fall apart or does it just need a service?

Are the spings necessary? Almost tempted to remove them if the freewheell still works fine and I can ride with stealth.

Anyone?

Yes, they are there to push the catches out to allow the freewheel to lock.

If you're using it SS then with no pawl springs you'll end up scraping bits of testicle out of your top cap before too long when it slips

mine did this. i posted on here and was given some links to servicing videos and after cleaning and regreasing the pawls, lovely clickiness was restored.

If its full of gunk it wont click whether the pawls need replacing or not.

It's like a doodlebug: when the clicking stops, it means it's about to explode. ๐Ÿ˜ฏ

you'll end up scraping bits of testicle out of your top cap

Ooh nasty! ๐Ÿ˜ณ

Search on here for zip ties bodge for pawl springs. The zip ties work just as well and seem to last longer than the springs

Rear pro 2's seem to have a bit too much drag for my liking, I prefer the bulb hubs.

Bloody knew it! ๐Ÿ˜†

Why coodunt we get Watford or Stevenage or someone?

Still, the draw means there could be a few lower league teams in with a chance of progressing quite far, look:

Brighton or Wrexham v Newcastle
Sunderland v Middlesbrough
Dagenham & Redbridge v Southampton
Hull City v Crawley
MK Dons or QPR v Chelsea
West Brom v Norwich
Blackpool v Sheffield Wednesday
Arsenal or Leeds v Aston Villa
Stevenage v Notts County
Watford v Tottenham
Liverpool v Manchester United
Derby v Stoke City
Everton v Fulham
Macclesfield or Bolton v Swansea
Sheffield United v Birmingham or Wolves
Nottingham Forest or Leicester v Swindon
