Anyone know anything about these? I'm building up an XC race cum general trail bike, and I've been recommended a set of Stan's Crest on Pro 3 hubs wheelset. I can see from the Hope site that they're pretty light relative to other hubs, but what about the reliability of them (this is a key concern of mine)? Are they esasy to get serviced/find parts for? There seems to be lots of info about the Pro 2 but the Pro 3 seems less popular. So should I go for it if I found a good deal or look for a wheel with another hub (I'm pretty set on Stan's rims at any rate).

Pro 3's are just a straight pull (and fewer spoked) versions of pro 2's.

I've got 3 pairs of pro 3s and never had a problem. Crashed one set quite hard and still fine. They spin up very fast.

Ive just cum

As easy to service as any other Hope hub. Spares readily available (e.g. from ukbikestore). Not sure about the 3-bolt discs - I have the 6-bolt (SP6) Hoops on 355s. Front is only QR or 15mm bolt-thru compatible, not 20mm (likely not an issue for you).

My back one has a weird rattle on my Maxlight. Think it is the end caps since the bearings are sound.

Otherwise mine have been fine - would buy again for sure.

I have Hope Hoops Pro3, straight pull spokes, 6 bolt hubs. I think the ones you are looking at my have an alloy spider with 3 bolts ?
Anyhow, the reason that they are lighter is that on the front hub the axle is 15mm internal diameter (max QR15 with adaptors) not capable of 20mm like Pro2, the rear is standard QR only and has one less bearing and a no 'seal' like the Pro 2 has (for less drag ?).
Overall great hubs, no problems, same as Pro2 for spare parts and but less flexible for different axle sizes.

I phoned Hope recently and they said the rear will take a 142x12 axle conversion
