I've been running this combo for a while now with no issues. However I've tracked the annoying rattle down to the last 4 cogs of the cassette being loose on the freehub.
The other cogs are fine its just the last 4 with what looks like a plastic carrier.
Has anyone else had this, I'm assuming its the cassette that's worn and not the freehub body?

New cassette and chain ordered. Hopefully the freehub body is ok

Think there was a thread on here about some XT cassettes having some problems being lose on the carrier and that they were replaced under warranty, don't know if it's the same with your SLX but it might be worth looking into?
