Yes. It works
Does it effect the chain line much?

Curious of this too..
In regards to what, cranks that you have? Have a read of this http://enduro-mtb.com/en/tech-talk-whats-the-boost-standard-all-about/

As far as I can remember, most (if not all) of the extra width is added to the non-drive side so the cassette stays in the same place relative to the drive-side chainstay etc. The chainstay is further out on a boost frame, so a boost chainring will then give you an improved chain-line.
Does mean you need to re-dish the rim 4mm towards the non-drive side.
I haven't redished or needed suffered any chain line issues. On a ns djambo evo 2017. Running a single ring on the inside of 104 bcd shimano double crqnks
I've just spoken to Hope about how it works and you dont need to modify the wheel or chain line in any way.
There's a spacer that sits behind the freehub body moving the cassette to the correct position and spacers for the non-drive side.
I'm ordering one today, well chuffed that i can keep my trusty Hope wheels!
Just realised I was thinking of the Wolftooth Boostinator converters (and maybe assuming the Hope conversion worked in the same way).

That's interesting.. I wonder if it affects the freehub seal (as it doesn't appear to include a different one).
Hope pro 2 boost conversation kit
I fitted one and have been yakking on ever since, works brilliantly in social situations particularly if you're naturally reticent... 😉

Cheers Matt!
I'm looking at new frames but they all seem to being going boost. I've got a nice set of Pro4 Enduros that I didn't want to sell, so this solves the issue. Ordered the kit and can now go frame hunting 😀 !

If you're changing forks too, consider this:

No re-dishing required (unlike the Hope kit for the front)
bookmarked for later

I wont be (trusty Pike & Hope Hoops) but good to know it exists!

That spacer is only for use if you're using the Hope cassette freehub.
Instructions here.

It does also change the chainline by 3mm.
It's just extending the spacers either side of the hub by 3mm so it fits the frame.
It worked fine for me but the bike is also running a none boost crank, so it's like running a 142 chainline in a 148 frame.
I run the hope kit with some pro4 hubs
Also use a non boost chainset have 0 comparability issues
