I have 1yr old mono mini's and the front lever seems to be often sticking and not returning from it's bite point. All fine at the caliper end, pistons moving freely. brake also bled reasonably recently. the brake works fine, it's just sometimes not returning that last couple of cm. Wil prob call Hope later but wondering if this was something that othersd had experienced. cheers
I've only had it happen if I tighten the pivot bolt too much. Undo the bolt, take the lever out, clean everything and grease/oil the surfaces and bolt before putting back in
Yes - I've had that. Cured with a strip/clean/rebuild (no new parts).
Usually stiff/dirty lever pivots as mentioned above, but unfortunately not always.Indiscriminate spraying of certain lubes can attack the seals and cause them to swell and stick, if this is the case it'll mean a strip down, thorough clean and new seals.
stripped lever down, incl taking out the little brass barrel (guy at Hope said that is often the problem), greased and reassembled and all seems ok for now ...
Thanks all
