[#4457093]

Orange five frame with an integral headset I've just bought.

Now, LBS fitted the top and bottom bearings then gave me a bag of bits.

I have fitted them all but when fitting the stem need one less 3(ish)mm spacer between headset and stem so I'm a bit concerned something else is not fitted right. (Old headset was a cane creek).

So does anyone have a picture of how all the bits go together? The diagram on the hope website isn't quite clear.

Bits I fitted:
Fork race
Lower bearing (the other bit to the part the lbs fitted)
Top bearing (again the other bit to the part the lbs fitted)
Small split ring
Hope logo'd top part (two seals together)

It all seems to turn smoothly and if it wasn't for needing one less spacer I'd be happy but just thought I'd check.

Sorry it's probably really noob

Hmm I know this isn't quite the right instructions but more than the none mine came with.

I think I've done everything in the right order except I didn't get any 28mm o rings?

That O-ring is for the Head Doctor.

It's possible that the Hope headset just has a lower "stack height" than the previous one?

Cheers, and yeah that's what I'm thinking. The lower race certainly seems more noticeable than the cane creek one, the cane creek one was just a metal ring whereas the hope one has a rubber part and a metal part so reckon its just that.

Just wanted to check though before carrying on.
