[#694733]

I have an older Hope front hub (20mm) that has a 5 bolt disc on it. There is a little sideways play in it so I was about to replace the bearings. Unfortunately I can't get the old ones out.

Any tips?

Whats the issue that you cant get them out?

Heat the hub -tie a rag round it and pur boiling water over it.

You are hitting them from the inside out?

universal adjuster and a judicious use of force
Place tool (Blunt scredriver chisel whatever)Hit the ****ing thing with a hammer ...technically you are drifting the bearings out!

OK - that bit about the screwdriver is exactly what I'm doing. Maybe I just need to do it harder then.

and don't forget to put the inner spacer rod thingy in before you tap the 2nd bearing back on 😉
