[Closed] Hope floating rotors on centerlock adapters... real world experience please

Has anyone out there run Hope floating rotors (183mm) on a centerlock adapter?

I've found no firm evidence that this works without some machining of the adapter to reduce the diameter so it fits in the recess in the rotor spider. But then I've only heard of people doing that with the DT adapters. No idea if other similar adapters (eg Shimano) work without butchery.

I know someone who could easily modify an adapter for me, but seems silly to do that if there's an adapter out there that works off the shelf.
