Hi All,

Just after a little advice before i go ordering a load of bits that won't work!

I am planning to run hope floating rotors on my Juicy 7's, are there any issues with doing this. I understand the rivets on the floating rotors can rub if your not careful.

I am going to use a hope adaptor to run a 183mm rotor on the front (currently 160mm post mount) and a 160mm on the rear which is a direct replacement.

Thanks in advance

they work fine until pad gets really worn, then there can be clearance issues - watch out for the tabs on the pads

Thanks fall guy, thats good news... so the issues with having to file callipers etc aren't true!

no using hop efloating with juicy 3 and 7 without issue.
Also swap all my wheels around so have used Avid , Hope and Shimano brakes with all /each others brands of rotors without issue.

When I have used discs from different systems with my Avids I checked the disc thickness and then did a bit of tuning of the pad/caliper position with some washers under the caliper mounts.

I had to file one side of the mounting points of the calipers when i ran juciy 5's with 183 rotors (both front and rear). I also cut the tabs off the pads as i found that they hit the rivits before the pads had worn to half way.
