I have a set of the older Mono Mini's (IS mount calipers)
can I use any floating rotors with them, just that I see some badged as M4 and some M4/mono mini.
are they all the same weight ish.

yes you can. just not the vented MOTO ones as they're thicker.
weight diff is negligible as is performance difference. buy them because they look nice 🙂

does the rotor actually float on the ally spider or are they a tight fit.
Motor bike ones do have some play.

indeed. I have a set on my ss though they do have a bit of back/forward play now ( not noticeable when riding ) so I'm not sure if I'd bother next time.

there's no significant play when new.
