Are these simply a short Shimano HG pattern?
I'm wondering if they can be used with standard shimano-splined single speed sprockets

I've got one in a box of spares somewhere. I seem to remember it's a unique hope pattern that only a hope cassette will fit into. It's also a little shorter so you needed a different adapter.
I was a bit miffed when they stopped making them as I had to buy a new freehub!

I really wish that when they decided to discontinue the cassette, they'd done a run of the alu top halves in steel.
