How do you cut that stuff and get the brass collar on again
****ing hell
cut it as clean as you can then get it as round as you can then shave the plastic of the leading edge with a knife (get an adult to help with this) but to be fair it's still a right fek on.
If you could go back in time you could strip the plastic coating off the hose. Undo the locking collar, slide the olive up the hose to where you want it. Then you could cut the hose that you no longer need off.
This way you don't have to struggle trying to get the olive over the ****ing hose that keeps ****ing fraying. ๐
Or if you have some of the yellow plastic blocks that come with shimano brakes. Use the cutout in them to clamp the braiding down again.
It's a pain but possible believe me! Get a screwdriver and open the olive up a little, also make sure there are no metal strands fraying out on the hose, check out this guide: steveukmtb.wordpress.com/hope-braided-hydraulic-brake-hose-assembly/

I've always used some good cable cutters for cutting the pipe. As long
As they are sharp you will get a nice clean cut.
Knipex are the best I've found so far
I've always used park cable cutters never had a problem
