My Hope BB (steel not ceramic bearings) has given up the ghost after 23 months. Should it have lasted longer or is that about right? I don't use a jetwash. I thought they had 5 year warranty, but apparently it's only a year.

How do you mean given up the ghost? Are the bearings worn to the point of being wobbly or are they just full of crud?

I wish I could get 2 years out of a bottom bracket!!

hard to say is itn used everyday or twice a year.

i ride a lot so 23 months would be amazing

Bearings have gone all wobbly.
Thanks chaps, it seems that I'm being a whingy old git and should be grateful it's lasted this long!!

has it damaged your crank axle? I have seen alot of snapped cranks where the dead bearing has cut into the axle.
