Have you tried contacting Hope Tech?
These things don't last forever if not serviced regular or looked after.
Ride - Clean - Service - Repeat. Makes sense to me!

They're sealed bearings. They aren't designed to be serviced, after a few removals the seal becomes baggy in the seat.

Mine did 500miles on a road bike before failing, as been said before on regular Hope bearing fail threads. I got some from fleabay from a chap selling direct fit ones, which were cheaper than std replacements and so far run much smoother and far exceeded the std bearings. See a previous thread for other peoples ideas. Only about 2 weeks ago.

These Peeps get some good reviews on here, not used em yet. Will do next time I need some bearings.

I service mine all the time. Pop them out, degrease and clean, regrease, replace. Both ceramic and ss versions. Keeps them going for years.

Put one in my Fargo. Its been fully submerged on bikepacking trips and gone unloved commuting for 5000 miles with no problems. Not saying you've done something wrong but they aren't hopeless.

Chris King mine lasted 5 years with no service , had it rebuilt still going strong, well worth the extra,

I replaced the Hope bearings with Enduro they stayed smooth for 2 years then I sold the bike with BB fitted had to use a RAceface top hat shim as the bearing internal diameter was too large.

Remember not to overtighten the side load. BB bearings are designed for vertical load not side loads. If you do overtighten them they won't last as long.

Watch the hope BB installation video for tips.

BB90 bearings are the same as Hope - 37x24x7

Plenty on Ebay.

Hmmm.... the Hope BB bearings on my niner lasted for about 45 minutes before collapsing completely. I replaced it with a standard Sram BB which has done a 12 hour race, a 6 hour race, about 10 5 hour Sunday rides + more.

All I've ever been able to find other than Hope's expensive ones is Enduro (and my experience of Enduro bearings was just awful in the past, sub-deore shite) and ebay no-names.

Personally I reckon it makes more sense to buy a BB that'll take a standard bearing, like Gusset EXT24, and then fit quality replacements when it needs it.

HOPELESS........

course i cleaned and lubed it!!!!

the previous £10 Shimano BB lasted a couple of years - the press fit in my 2nd hand full-suss is still ok'ish! and ive just fitted a UN71 (remember them?) to it's third or fourth bike. £60 on some coloured ano - gutted

cheers for the ideas on alternative bearings.
