Why would a disc rotor suddenly 'bend' in on itself. Its a lightweight 3 bolt hope jobby. In a titanium hardtail. Could it be a combination of hard braking, frame flex and the lightweight 3 bolt design?

Any ideas please?

Viciously eh?

I hope you're ok!

I had a rear 3 bolt (HH XC3) rotor badly warp in a modest descent one day. It didnt inspire a lot of confidence in the front.

Any photos?

The last rotor I bent was from running into someone, have you damaged it?

Also rotors wear, measure its thickness - I've had this with Ashima ones, worn to half thickness 😯

Ah , its done a year of sintered pads so i may take the calpiers to it. I have no problems regards braking confidence, I don't mind it happening once, as long as I know why so i can prevent it.

Until we see pics, safest assumption is it was mounted wrong way.

There isn't a "right way" with hope 3 bolt rotors. They are symmetrical (but ok there may still be an arrow). But you can probably relax on that point. Photos would be good though.
