In the market for a carbon 29er frame and just cannot stump up the £1500 that the main brands want to charge.

I have been reading up on the chinese frames and came across Hong Fu. They get very good reports on MBR forum.

I especially like the look of their 2013 road frame. Looks really sweet!

Just wonder whether anoyone has taken a punt themselves on a frame from this company.

It might just be me, but I can't see any prices? Might be interested in a hardtail.

Nice looking 29er fs, could do with some more spacers under the bars tho 😆
Can't see any prices either to compare with others.

I bought a road frame from HongFu a few months ago. All went pretty smoothly. Got the frame, forks, bars, stem, seat post, seat clamp, headset, paint job and delivery for £580.

* the cosmic decals have been removed from the wheels now. They're Hongfu 50mm wheels which I bought from someone on the BR classifieds who had decalled them up.

That red bike above looks fantastic.
I'm amazed this thread hasn't turned into a chinese carbon argument yet!
Exploding frames, catastrophic failures, carbon splinters in the heart! eek!

Cynic-al: Rides very well, although before this my only road bike was a 2010 Trek 1.5 so I've no real measure for comparison. Feels pretty solid, accelerates quickly and feels stable at speed. Finish is pretty good, unlaquered so raw looking paint effect. Did have a slight chip in the top tube paint when it turned up which was annoying as I can see it whilst riding but it's barely a mm long.

@Hora, Yeah no worries. Just fire me an email as don't post here too often. I spent a few weeks trudging through the hundreds of pages on roadbikereview which was very helpful.

29er FS is tempting to buy and get some 'specialist - long ride' decals made up as they've clearly seen an epic and copied it!
