Just thought I would post a warning for any riders local to Holmfirth who know Honley woods especially spring wood, which drops from magdale down to moll springs.
Some evil tit has been stringing cord up between at head height, a mate found one just before the bridge at the bottom. Chances are there will be more.
I have encouraged him to contact the police.

I'm not far from Almondbury but haven't done any local MTB riding. I don't suppose you have any routes e.g. on Strava you could direct me to find some riding?

Hi ferret, man where to start! There are as many routes as there are tracks on the ground round here!
A good place to start is having a mess around in Storthes Hall Woods (not far from Almondbury), another way to get to know the area is come along to the Albion Cycles shop ride (first Saturday in every month - http://www.albion-cycling.co.uk/index.html).
