[#2893504]

My significant other loves beach holidays & specialises in vegetating in the sun for hours. She'd be happy for me to clear off during the day to do some mtb'ing, as long as I'm back in time for the evenings wine & dine sessions.

I'd welcome ideas on where we can combine "beach bum" with "trail fun" please ...

Oh, one last detail ... UK isn't an option, unfortunately, as there needs to be a higher chance of sunshine.

Tenerife?

Southern Mediteranean France ( must be MTB stuff in the hills above Nice surely?)

Nice, as in South of France.

I seem to recall reading about some good riding in Tenerife, so that's a thought. Ta!

Nice in France sounds inviting as we could drive there and my bike would be safer (although I've not ran the driving bit by the "Logistics Manager"). Have you guys ridden there?

Ummm. Greece - did a mountain bike holiday with Neilson a few years ago and it was pretty good. Don't expect it to be the quietest holiday though in terms of deserte beaches etc but I thought it was good value.

Possibly Corsica although not sure of the riding potential.

I think we could be perfect for you and your other half.
Stunning singletrack rides with plenty of bus uplift during the day. Based on the beach with a large pool & fantastic après-bike on the coast at night.

Thanks for the responses, some food for thought 🙂

Basque country sounds inviting, as does Sierra Cycling (beach & pool will help sell it!).

Thanks again for all of the input & suggestions. Now I'm going into sell mode with the significant other ... "babes, you know how you said that as long as you've got a good beach & some sun, you don't mind what I do during the day ... well, these guys at STW have come up with an idea! ... "

Wish me luck 😯
