Who's going?
Should be interesting.
Role?
I'll be there marshalling. No beef jerky though sorry.
i'm there for the bacon roles
here miss
I'd better check my car will start actually. I don't think it's moved for a fortnight.
Roll[b] call even - I'd just got up.
I wrote "bare responsibility" at work the other day, when someone said it's "bear", I thought that was just a big hairy thing. D'oh.
i'll be there
umming and erring about what bike to ride and what tyres to run ๐

really?
you have any doubt its going to be a mud bath?
oh i know it'll be a mud bath...but which bike will be better in it?
cx bike with super skinny tyres = great in some slop but not on any nadgery bits
hardtail = slidey in mud but more controllable on anything techy
these are the issues of someone with more bikes than sense
Do I need to bring some replacement stickers Dave? ๐
I will be sporting a SS hardtail with a much too 'spinney' ratio to be competitive accessorized with a pair of nice and skinny spikey tyres.

i was going to use gaffer tape and tippex, but that sounds far more professional ๐

ah. rumbled. me too ๐
Here.
HT with 1.35 26" CX tyres. (Won't make the slightest bit of difference - I'll be carrying/pushing/wheezing most pf the time.)
We're in the middle of some hardcore staple gun and barrier tape action - there are a couple of muddy sections but its mainly firm or maybe claggy. a bit.
Maybe the predicted -6 temperatures tonight will firm things up a bit more...
It's nowhere near as sloppy as HTN1 though.
so then, oh course master
which will win, CX or MTB ๐
I'll be there and I'm going for the cx bike twinklydave. I think half of it will be muddy and half will be fast!

I've got one bike and one set of tyres, so it's a simple choice for me..
We've finished marking it out. Feel free to come down and have a spin* this afternoon if you want.

Here Sir!
Just for the fun of it I'm going to make no modification to my ride. This sjhould make the 2 hours extremely interesting ๐
Iamin. Floundering around near the back I should think. Think Dave Haygarth might do quite well...
2 of us here coming as well. I'm thinking of a rigid hardtail with discs and skinny tyres to try and combine the best of both worlds.
Grandma and myself will be there, bringing up the rear no doubt.
