Blimey. We've come a long way since we had the original stupidly ambitious idea.

I suppose I'd better go and print a couple of hundred directional arrows.

Parking? Yes...you'll need to park your car somewhere.
we've got the big car park at the bottom of the hill, there's the Rugby Club for a quid fifty, or you could just ride to the event..?

No idea about the curry. Rusty Spanner is sorting that IIRC. I shall be soaking in the bath before a night on the lash at The Church Inn.

mud tyres if it's wet.

Ed - all offers of help gratefully received! Can you sign them in? There will be about 20 kids who need numbers, etc.

The winner's dance floor is about to head off for painting and stickering.

Are the numbers going to issued on the day, or before, so that we know who the number belongs to so can shout abuse or congratulations to various peeps off the forum, as most of dont know what we each look like.

I will be in a grey range rover sport, if anyone needs a tug out of the mud.

I've been in pasty-eating training Clover. It'll be interesting to see how our chosen regimes compare?

numbers assigned on the day, but quite likely that they'll be in the same order that they appear on the HTN site.

...erm...we might reserve some of the 'best' numbers though.

Guerrilla marketing at its best!

Why not have a STW meeting point at the stone table sculpture thing in the middle of the start/finish field, or all converge on the bloke with the tandem? You can all speed date with each other.

It was birthday cake too. So I have also been training by getting older... ๐Ÿ˜•

Never mind numbers, we should have our training regimes and forum names pinned to our bikes for scientific study....

...and your blood type and emergency phone number written on your forehead with a marker pen.

Also, leave your cars unlocked so that we can move them should you not be around when the race finishes.

Is it correct that ALL STW'ers have to be sporting a red carnation in their lapels and a white hanky hanging out of the bag of their baggies?
And anyone from Bikemagic are meeting up in body armour?

Can we have a final course video so I can memorise the track with my eyes close like the guy does on Cool Runnings.

A staple gun is the most valuable weapon in a race organiser's arsenal.

Long range weather looks OK in the run up to it.

I'm on the start list but I'm 50/50 if I can ride, due to a sprained knee. Will see how it is next week. ๐Ÿ™
