Im running the original HR's but considering upgrading to the HR 2's,would there be significant difference to what i have,I ride a bit of everything from trail centres to local xc and rocky rooty stuff,
Cheers
Craig
I'm in the same boat, I love my original HR's, so I'm hoping the 2's are at least the same. Hopefully better. ๐
I think noticing any difference would depend on the tyre compounds and size.
High roller 2 look almost identical to highrollers apart from having sipes cut into the tread which should help on wet rocks and roots.
I've just put a high roller 11 on the front to replace the high roller, first ride with it tomorrow so I'll let you know. The side knobs look a bit more like the minions.
The 2.4 HRII is as big or bigger than a 2.5 original HR. Its good but chunky weight wise.
Had the original hr on last autumn, changed to the hrII but found it draggy was recommeded the baron black chili and thought it was as grippy especially on wet roots and rocks but with less drag when pedalling. In winter now run baron front and rq rear both black chili and wouldn't go back to maxxis, but I suppose everything is subjective to riding style and terrain you ride.
