[#1123074]

I'm running some wire 2.1 high rollers on my single speed

I'm looking for something a bit wider to run on my geared hardtail, from web sitesit looks like anything bigger than 2.1 is a down hill tyre - I'm only after something a little wider maybe only on the front.

Can anyone shed any light on the compound and high roller type I should be looking for to do xc and trail, not looking for downhill weight

Thanks

Single ply, 60a, 2.35" width.

job done. DH versions have dual ply sidewalls and weigh a lot more.

as steveh said, but stick a Minion on the front - very much doubt you'll regret it.

The Kenda Nevegal fills a very similiar role too, their 2.1 is very comparable except that it actually measures 2.1, so it sits between the 2.1 and 2.35 Highrollers. Not that there's any reason to change, highrollers are ace too.

The 2.35 High Rollers are only classed as DH tyres by Maxxis due to being wider than 2.1s. They aren't really that big and the kevlar bead Maxxpro versions are actually really quite light at under 650g each.

They're very good tyres in that size and make a good compromise between DH style tread patterns and light weight pedally tyre.

We sell the 2.35 High Roller LUST. They're 62A so slightly harder than Maxxpro.
