Hi, I'm after some guidance, I have a HID light that isn't turning on. The battery is fine, I have checked that with another light. When you turn the light on it arcs at the bottom of the 'bulb' but the light doesn't err light.
Does anyone know if this mean the bulb is dead or if there is a problem with the ballast bit?
Cheers for any help.
What type? The light and motion one has a weak joint on to the PCB that can be resolved with a quick soldering job.
Do you know anyone else with a hid light to swap the bits over to see if it's the ballast or light?
Which HID? I believe that the Welch Allen bulbs are no longer available. When I bust my Hope HID it proved cheaper to make a LED conversion that is brighter and runs longer than the original. If it is the ballast that is needed I have a Hope HID one that you can have for the price of a pint.
