I've seen a few posts on hire from time to time about routes around Hexhamshire common area. Can anyone recommend a decent length route? Alternatively, where would be a good place to park and start to take in some of the good bits? I'd be approaching from the West, so it would be more convenient to start from that side. Allendale?
Its rubbish

This would be my best route from Allendale town (you can park by the market square, or pretty much anywhere there):
Head up to Stobb Cross and carry straight on to Hangman Hill. then go north on the Broadway to Kings Law (its very rutted towards the bottom at the moment).
Then north-west towards Burntridge Moor and then south-west back to Stobb Cross. From there, head back down to the road, but for the final drop to the valley, find the cheeky path at Parkgates
That's probably 2-3 hours. Conditions (apart from the bottom of the Broadway) are good at the moment. Despite what it looks like, the bog of doom is rideable:

EDIT: you can carry on south down the Broadway. Its a bit grassy and tussocky so can be hard going, but at least its dry. And the track down Byerhope Bank is great!

email in profile if you want any more info.
I've never ridden there but must fix that.
Feel free to come on down Drac ๐
Might just do that.
Sounds good, I'll be trying that soon.
