[#10641022]

After a lot of set backs and knocks in confidence since last June, our 10yo wanted to join an 'introduction to mountain biking' course. It's a new thing that's being trialled for 6 weeks initially, hour and a half session each week after school. He is already asking can he do it every week, just waiting to find out if they are carrying it on but his name is already down.

The first week he barely rode anything that wasn't flat, he is very sensitive, unsure of new things and everything has hit him hard. I think this is definitely helping him. 2nd week he did the pump track, 3rd week he started going over obstacles.

Really proud of him for giving it his all, and the progress he's made is brilliant. Just wanted to share my proud Dad moment.

Good lad - everyone has to start somewhere. That’s a great face he pulls at the end of the second vid.

I know some kids a lot younger than this are doing a lot more, but to see him develop over the past few weeks is a really nice feeling. Hopefully he will want to try some trails at some point.

The ride around the Usk Reservoir is just the ticket. It's a lovely ride with picnic spots and big views.

Nice one. I'm just back from a weekend away with myb11 year old, took him to CYB and Llandegla, he loved it.
