[#1199779]

HI GUYS, I HAVE A PROBLEM.

I AM WANTING A HELMET BUT I AM NOT SURE IF I WANT OR NEED A NORMAL TYPE OF XC HELMET OR A FULL FACE.

I RIDE UP AND DOWN MOUNTAINS IN AUSTRIA. NOW I DONT RIDE ON THE ROAD WITH A HELMET BUT I DO FEEL VUNERABLE WHEN RIDING DOWN THE MOUNTAIN. I DONT RIDE DH BUT IT IS IN PARTS A RED ROUTE AT PARTS.

SO WHEN RIDING UP IM NOT SURE IF I WOULD WEAR A HELMET BUT I WANT ONE FOR THE RIDE DOWN.

I DONT THINK I WOULD GET THE PROTECTION FROM A NORMAL TYPE BUT THINK A FULL FACE IS TOO MUCH TO TAKE UP ON A RIDE...

OPINIONS PLEASE

NICK

If you press shift when you type it'll come out lower case.

Giro Xen is a good halfway house, no face coverage but covers the back of your head really well.

If you don't think you will fall off, don't wear a helmet.

If you think you might fall off gently, wear a normal helmet.

If you think you're going to have a massive crash on your head, wear a fullface helmet (and gaffer-tape a mattress to it, too)
