[#5395592]

I've tried to search for a answer but google hasn't helped,
Can I/do I need to lube specialized beenie pedals?
I've had a set on my rockhopper for about 6 month, but they seem to be creaking when I'm going up a climb.
Bit of a novice when it comes to maintaining the thing,
Any advice please?????

You try unscrewing the pedals and greasing the threads first. Remember that the RHS pedal has a left hand thread, i.e. it undoes the opposite was from normal.

LH pedal has LH threads - both unscrew towards the back of the bike. Anti clockwise as you look at the bike.

Very unlikely to be the threads though IMO. There's probably not much you can do with those pedals, they'll not be anything special. Inject grease into any openings, but ultimately I'd probably replace them

Edit: just noticed they're not the stock pedals. There's probably a nut under an end cap somewhere that will remove the body from the axle (be prepared to catch any loose bearings), try that, with fresh bearings and grease as required.
