Hi,

I have a Commencal meta 29 2014 frame in need of a rear shock, I would love to get a monarch RT3 DebonAir but according to the commencal its not compatible. I have seen somewhere that an commencal sx which should have the same issue was fitted with one. Can anyone help with this issue? Will the shock fit??

As long as the eye to eye and shaft length are the same there shouldn't be an issue un less there's a clearance issue between shock and the frame.

Hey, thanks for the reply. I agree the shock is 190mm and 51mm which i think is right, the problem may be the width of the shock body but i cant find the size of this!

You could try ringing the uk distributor and asking them, I'm sure they'll help you out.

Just had a quick google re your frame and as far as i can tell as long as you arent planning on the monarch (plus) debonair then it should be ok....plus has a piggyback which would foul the lower links as the bike compresses into its travel.
A normal inline shock shouldnt cause any issues.
