Recently moved into a new build, and have an issue just to the right of the rear patio.

The developer has shored up next doors garden with log roll as it's about 2foot higher than yours, however where the patio is it's about a foot away from the log roll. Where they have concreted the logs in its resulted in almost a slab of concrete between the patio and log roll.

Obviously water is just sitting on this as they haven't even thought to put and incline on it.

So would you try and drill through the concrete not knowing how thick it is, or as I'm extending the patio so can make a bit of cement up, lay a new level over the top with a slight incline to draw the water off?

Cheers

Ash

I'd go for B. No guarantee with A. that the water's going to drain away into whatever's underneath, and you might be left with a similar puddle and compromised concrete, freeze/thaw and cracking.
