I am building up a cheapish HT and bought these Hope Mini's off ebay. They are probably oldish but they were quite cheap so am not too bothered. Only thing is I don't recognise the levers, anyone know what year or even model they are as the Hope MIni's I have had in the past have al had the squareish resevoirs.
Those levers are the really really old Sport lever from the days of the O2 and C2 brakes, I'd suggest they've had the callipers upgraded as part of a service.
The levers are at least 6-7 years old, I hope you didn't pay too much for them...
Edit: double post, my bad.
Are they the pro levers? or the sport?
Have a dig around http://www.hopegb.com/page_mep_force_4.html
is it a mini brakeset, or are they not C2's?

actually this guide (page 5/6) seems to suggest they might be a Mini ot a C2 system with "the sport lever" on a open system. Say it should be a mini calipre for the system to work - if I'm reading this right
They're Sport levers IIRC, the Pro levers had the adjustable reservoir caps.
They could be C2s, the calipers were pretty similar, I must admit that was my first thought, but they do also look like the original Minis.
Thanks for your help, £70 the pair too much?
Tbh the bike they are going on will be used on road 90% of the time so I didn't see the point spending a lot. My experience of hope brakes is that they last pretty well.
The lower lever in the pic is an O2 (C2s had an adjuster on the reservoir cap). The other perhaps a sport lever? I had some O2s which were good for ages - and I got spare seals off Hope for them last year I think.
You've got 2 different levers there...
The linear lever a the bottom is proper old, Part of the original Sport system when they only did on brake!
Looks to be open tho, not closed.
The Top lever which pulls back on to the bar is a Pro 2, open system again.
Open had no adjustment (apart from lever position) and the Closed had a dial in order to adjust the contact point as well... however they didnt like heat!
Calipers look like Mini's, too small to be original O2's,C2's.
Bit of a mash up of parts tho!
The top lever used to run the Enduro 4's and M4's before they went over to the Mini lever.
Worth £70?
**** no!!
no, I think that too now, I will look for something else....
Yup, what you have there are parts from three different systems, you have two "open" system levers, one a Pro, one a sport(both also available as a closed option too), the calipers are a pair of original Minis, not designed to work with the larger volume of fluid pushed by those levers(you'll probably get a very wooden feeling lever and be unable to generate enough leverage to stop effectively.),but designed to work with rotor sizes ending with a 5, ie 165 or 185.The rotors themselves are from the later, and still current mono mini, sizes of which end in a 0 or 3 depending on wether the caliper is IS or post mount.
As spare parts they may be worth it, but as usable systems, no.
