just a quick question how do I delete one of my section times from strava , was just looking through segments and noticed I am listed as no 1 on upper cliff climb over Cannock chase 57s ,which is complete faff (more like 5min 57s as anybody who has ridden with me will confirm)then I looked at the date and it was back in jan 2010 which is when I lived in Dublin and never used strava, does this happen to others or am I just the lucky one,

Just delete the ride if you didn't ride it.

A few choices:

Leave it.
If the segment is near the start or end of the ride then you can use tools within Strava to trim the ride. Not really an option if the segment is in the middle though.
Mark it as private.
Delete the ride.

Curious as to why you are given KOM on a segment if you weren't on Strava at the time. What does the whole ride show? In the KOM listing, click on the time and the whole ride will be loaded.

If you link Strava and Garmin then everything in your history gets copied across.

Leave it. I always ignore the top 5 anyway because I know I'm the fastest ๐Ÿ™‚

So you have a ride on your profile that you didn't ride - just get rid of the ride nice and easy. Is it a copy of something else with corrupted data?

I've had this before. If you upload a GPS track to Strava so you can use it as a route, it can sometimes have timing data in the GPX. Strava uses this timing data to log your ride. Make that activity private.

I had this, apparently I rode somewhere in spain in 2015. Turns out the garmin I bought 2nd hand from here went for a ride in spain and not me. Is your garmin 2nd hand Op?

no the garmin was new when I bought it ,just one of those magical things that happen with technology, I'm putting it down to that ,at least I was a racing snake for a while , showed it to the wife and told her there was no way I could be that fat if my times were that quick , she just told me to look in the mirror
