[#12848186]

I've been standing at the side of a BMX track/pump tracks a lot whilst my lad rides and so I thought I'd buy myself something to roll around with him on. Hence, last minute purchase of this:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SEBIKES-Maniacc-Flyer-27-5-BMX-Bike-ONE-SIZE-BLUE-/166108025483?nma=true&si=WVB2m3iv0kqxTtL4Kx6tuZnYVGE%253D&orig_cvip=true&nordt=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557

I unfortunately overlooked the fact the wheels were 27.5+ (figured I could just buy a cheap 27.5 wheel off marketplace/ebay and get moving). I haven't kept up with all these hubs changes over the past decade.

Can I just buy a 135mm QR rear wheel to fit in the 142mm frame? Can a easily change the QR hub axle to a nutted axle as it's a slotted frame?

Thanks

A lot of 142 wheels are just 135 hub bodies with end caps changed - most mid to high end 135 hubs can be easily converted, just some of the really cheap ones you'd struggle to identify and buy parts for.

Look for something with non-boost Hope hubs, they're easily converted with end caps.

I've got the rear 29er version on my hybrid in q/r flavour, but I bought the bolt-thru adaptors through link on 29er page to have emergency option of fitting wheel to my 142mm bolt thru road bike.
