Hello

I required some help please. I have a Commencal Absolut SX frame which im building up. The bb on the frame is 100mm wide, and is a Saint BB. I have some Saint Cranks which have a shift width of 140mm. Is there a set of spacers avaliable as the cranks are about 20mm too wide for the bb?

Thanks for your help

Allan

I think that you may have one or two things confused here ?

I'm pretty sure that the BB on the Absolut Sx (2011) is a 73mm shell.

Therefore if you have cranks for an 83mm shell then you have the wrong ones.

Not sure where you get the info of 100 & 140mm. 100mm BB shells do exist somewhere I believe but not here.

Hi thanks for the info.

I have fitted the 83mm cranks and the crank arms don't fit flush against the face of the bb. So I must have the wrong cranks.

Therefore I need to find some other cranks.

Thanks

Allan

Yes - do double check that the BB shell itself is 73mm , then that's the cranks you need, ie standard cranks that fit a 68 or 73mm shell.

Were the cranks some you already had ? Saints aint cheap ๐Ÿ™

Hi Mate

I brought them off of here for 40 notes but didnt bother to look at the spec of the frame. ๐Ÿ˜ณ So will have to use them on another build. Luck would have it ive got a snotty old pair of XT cranks off my old jump bike which fit. ๐Ÿ˜† So i can progess with the build.

Cheers for your help
