I need to take out a 20 year old plastic FAG bb from an old bike. I have the correct tool but it's just tearing the lockring.
Any suggestions please?

Ta. Best get to Clas Ohlson this afternoon then.
Of course the fact that the LH crank already has a stripped thread stopping me pulling it isn't helping either.
Why, oh why did I offer to sort this thing out?
