I have a set of Pike 454 Dual Air U-Turns on the bike and they seem to have lost a little of their travel 7-10mm? Also the U-Turn dial has become VERY stiff? Can anyone tell me what is going on and how to rectify them?
Please help.....I am away in America and taking the bike in just 10 days (typical it goes wrong now!)....so urgent help would be much appreciated.
For the stiff u-turn try this. Under the adjuster there are three ball bearings which can rust, undo the adjuster by unscrewing the screw on the top, clean the ball bearings, then grease them and put it all back together.
For the travel problem I'd try letting all the air out and setting the forks up again, and see if full travel returns before doing anything else.
let all the air out of both chambers, then fill the positive chamber first, then the negative
I agree with the above posts. Look out for escaping ballbearings/springs when removing the U-turn.
