I bought a guide book for the peak district, but it hasnt turned up and im driving down tonight after work.

So can anybody give me any idea of a good campsite which is close to the routes near jacobs ladder/Rushup edge or near any other routes you would suggest.

Any ideas appreciated.

Couple of campsites in Edale. Good as you ride into Edale after coming down Jacobs.

There's a campsite at Upper Booth, pretty much right at the bottom of Jacobs ladder.

We've stayed here in the past, decent facilities, just round the corner from the pub. The bridlepath up to Rushup edge starts about 200m away.

Edale campsite
Hayfield campsite (that's lovely, good facilities and quite sheltered but it did look quite full when I rode past it the other day).

Both are close enough to Rushup Edge, lots of route choice from both. 18 Bikes in Hope will have route maps, guide books etc. Sett Valley cycles in New Mills stock the VG guide books too (they're closed today though).
