[Closed] help needed - Anyone know much about camcorders and what to buy?

I have been given the task at work of producing online video content, pod casts, short web instructional films etc.

What I want to know is could I get good enough sound (guess with external mic) and image quality from a higher end consumer camera with a hard drives etc as I would with buying a second hand more professional level sony hdr, hvr etc. I need the shots to look nice and not really low quality but I also know that most people will watch the contect online so some quality will be lost.

Oh there will be some sports and moving images involved if that helps and guess lower light but could use lighting.

Just want peoples thoughts as been offered a good Sony HDR FX1E but could buy a nice consumer camcorder and new laptop for the same cost.
