This could be ideal for long commutes! With some really high gears on the pedal side you could be riding as normal for an hour, but be covering 30-35 miles..

It gives me ideas though.. Would be nice to fit one to a nice road bike. I might want the engine mounted on a rack though, and perhaps some kind of automatic throttle so it'd respond to your power output.

it'd be pretty noisy wouldn't it? I hate the sound of neds on scooters around my house, wouldn't want a bunch of these bumble bees flying around as well?
