2018 I bought the wife a bike with the 35mm revelation fork and followed popular advice and upgraded the air side to the new 2019 debonair spring.

The bike spec was 120mm fork. The trailhead app says it's a 120mm fork. As far as I can find, there has never been a 110mm air shaft for this fork.

I've just dropped the lowers to swap to the new C1 seal head and noticed that the 2019 are shaft has 110 engraved on it.

It's bugging me as to why. I'm sure the 2019 air shaft was the same for 29er and 27.5 and even when they were different, it was by 20mm.

Just puzzled.

If it makes you feel better my 2016 275 160mm Yari forks came with a shaft labelled "Pike 29 150mm".

Rockshox use a surprising number of different bits you'd think would be more universal, especially on their down-spec cheaper forks like the Yari / Revelation / 35. Assuming you didn't buy the wrong part, I wouldn't worry that you've got the wrong one, or that you've accidentally reduced the travel on her Bike.

That's the thing, it can't be wrong, there's never been a 110mm revelation.

Yeah I noticed that on my debonair shaft. Tis indeed a pointless mystery. Especially when the older shafts were engraved with the actual travel lengths.

The 110 probably refers to something different, like the travel before bumper, the ral colour of the seal head, batch number, 6, any number of things that aren't the travel.

Could have been an OE-only spec?
