[Closed] headset crown racing cutting??

I have a new head set to fit and the crown race is a solid one can i cut it with a hacksaw to make it easier for fitting removal??

Yes absolutely.

I always do it if the crown race isn't slotted

Yep, done it to mine before including to a Hope 1.5" reducer adapter

Only on cartridge bearings, steering would get lumpy with loose or cadged bearings

Yep. You can even do it if it's got a rubber seal, though it takes some care
