I find that my garmin mount (with the rubber bands) always slips, I'd like to replace it with something that bolts on but otherwise is the same size.

I can see loads of bar mounts which extend forward (I already have one of these), and some that replace the top cap (won't work with my stem) but none that are effectively just a bolt on version of the normal handlebar mount.

Does anyone know of something like this?

Get an out front mount and fit it backwards so it positions the Garmin over the stem or buy one the Garmin MTB mounts.

That one that you’re using on the bars is supposed to go on the stem. That would stop it moving around.

Forward facing bar mounts can also be mounted backwards so that they sit over the stem

The Garmin band mount can be used on the stem or bars.
@riklegge - Have you got the rubbery backing piece on the underside of the mount and are you using the shorter bands?

Thanks for the replies. Not sure how I didn't spot those garmin ones given the Google searches I did...

And Dove, yes, using the rubber grommet. I was just surprised that there wasn't a load of very small, simple mounts the same "footprint" as the normal mount.

@duncancallum I have one of those. I have an original k edge and a copy on the winter bike. I can't tell the difference. They are £30 difference in price.

I had a Garmin 810 and it was a tight squeeze to get on. I've replaced it with a garmin 820 which is a smaller unit and it fits much better.

I think I paid £4.20 for mine. The adjustable option makes it fit most stems. At that price I'd try one before discounting one.

SRAM do a mini out front too, which backwards works with some stems to go over the stem. I also bought a cheap knock off version from Ali Express but my Garmin was loose in it so no good.
