Hi
phone request from a friend who has a new Kia Sportage, it appears the issue is that the rear door top has a sort of lip spoiler on it - so the standard hook over types can't be used.
See: Sportage rear
She's a casual cyclist (really only to take bike and trailer to nipper safe areas and family outings) so the towbar option makes it v expensive. Needs 3 bike capacity.
Any ideas pls
Thanks
edit - looks ike clip on are out
so for a twobar rack
- should it be a tilting one so can open car rear door
- does the towbar fitting matter - ie do they fit on the ball OR do they bolt to the two bolt fitting on 'nornal to me' towbar
ta
Yep grips the tow bar ball.
Look at the atera strada dl, it's light so she can manage it if she's not that big, folds up small, connects easily and it slides out rather than tilts which gives so much more room getting in the boot.
