Just got myself some Hope Sintered mini brake pads, tips on fitting please, had a look on youtube but couldn't find anything. Got myself some dot 5.1 brake fluid and ready to give it a try.

You dont need the brake fluid if your just fitting pads.

remove retaining pin with allen key (don't loose little clip if it's still there)

pull pads out (might be push for minis if IRC)

put new pads in

replace retaining pin

job done

very simple. Clean calliper first - might be worth removing old pads and having a good clean around the pistons Use a blunt lever - tyre lever is good push the old pads right back into the callipers. Mono mini or mini are slightly different. Mono mini remove spring clip from pin, push pin out - if its been in there for a while it might be stuck and need a lot of pressure. Old minis the pin unscrews. Pull pads out. Assemble new pads and spring together, put into calliper, push pin thu ensuring its thru both pads and spring. reinsert spring clip.

As all the above but you can make getting the pad/spring assembly back into the calliper easier by placing a short piece of tube (a camelbak size is ideal) over the top lug of the assembled pads and spring and then feeding it back in. It gives you something to hold on to while you push the pads in from below. Also you must push the pistons back in before inserting new pads. Oh and give the whole calliper a good clean first.
