[#10042224]

So got myself a CRC £70 voucher and my current helmet (Fox Flux) is about 4 years old now so probably due a change. Any recommendations on what to go for?

You'll probably get a TLD A1 for that, there're usually a few on sale. I'm a big fan, they seem to fit my head well, good protection and not *too* hot (though I know some disagree about that, I guess it depends what you're comparing to).

IXS Trail RS EVO Helmet from Chain reaction and use the clearout code MID2018 to get a tenner off. would mean an extra fiver from you.

Find mine very comfy

Doesn't seem to be A1's in my size. I did order a IXS Trail RS Evo but didn't seem to fit me right so sent it back.

I've got a S/M Fox Flux which fits well, measured my head at 56cm so orderd the S/M iXS and it seemed tight around the top of my head.

I had a Flux which split like a watermelon after a crank arm sheared off, sending me head first over the bars into the road, so had to be replaced. (did a very good job to be fair).

I replaced it with an equally comfortable Specialized Tactic (now on to the Tactic III) - which for the money and adjustability I find a very reasonable blend of comfort and value.
