I'm in the market for a new lid. The old one is getting tatty and is over three years old. I ca probably stomach up to £100
I'm looking for something with a good amount of coverage in case I come off, preferably with MIPS (or similar). Riding mostly in the south, I could do with something well ventilated.
It needs to have a central vent so I can mount my joystick on it in the winter.
The difficulty is that I seem to have an odd-shaped head. I've ridden in Speshy lids for years and found them comfortable, but they don't seem to make anything that fits the description above.
I've tried the Bell 4Forty and it's too round, so it digs in at the brow but wobbles from side to side. I had the same issue with the Giro Montaro, where it gave me a headache at the same time as feeling loose.
Does anyone have any recommendations?
This looked pretty good for the money although it doesn't have MIPS. I doubt you would pay £75 for it either and comes with a mount for your joystick.
