Looking at ordering some HH base layers Dry SS and LS.

I dont want a skin tight fit, dont want to be wearing my grannies nighty either, just normal t-shirt fit.

Size guide says im on the cusp of their med/large.

Med or large?

They're quite small. I'm normally a medium or large in T-shirts and I have L & XL Helly Hansens. Medium would be properly skintight on me.

I wear medium, 6ft 75kgs.
It's not super snug on me.

Having a tshirt type fit with these base layers kinda misses the point of what they are and how they work.

Its suppose to be tight. the whole point of a base layer.

Meh, if it dries quicker than cotton, keeping me warmer and drier, it's doing a better job than cotton, no?

Tight and it will work even better.

Plus it shows off the guns (or the gut I guess).

Tight base layers wick better. Wicking stops sweat from chilling you but massively reduces the cooling benefit of sweating. I get hot when I ride a bike, not cold.

Baselayers should be a body-hugging fit if they are to transfer moisture away from the skin, or to the next clothing layer, effectively.
